About Me

McKenzie is an Occupational Therapist at Shirley Ryan Â鶹´«Ã½ on 16 South, specializing in the treatment of musculoskeletal and orthopedic cases involving the upper extremities. She graduated from Marquette University with a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy in August 2024 and has gained hands-on experience in orthopedic settings throughout her clinical training and professional practice. Additionally, McKenzie completed a doctoral capstone project focused on hand therapy, further strengthening her expertise in this specialized area. McKenzie is also involved with the Nerve Care Clinic, providing specialized occupational therapy services for patients with complex upper extremity peripheral nerve injuries in collaboration with Shirley Ryan Â鶹´«Ã½ PM&R physicians and Northwestern Hospital surgeons. Through this multidisciplinary clinic, she contributes to the evaluation and rehabilitation of patients with complex nerve injuries and helps guide individualized treatment plans. With a dedication to improving patient outcomes and a deep understanding of musculoskeletal and upper-extremity rehabilitation, McKenzie continues to contribute to the multidisciplinary care of patients recovering from upper extremity injuries.
